Love, Trust

Trust in the Lord

“The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do to me? The LORD is for me among those who help me; therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” (Ps. 118:6-8, NKJV).
In our lives we have many people that we trust- our parents, teachers, and friends. In human nature, we are self centered, we only think of ourselves. When we trust people who only care about their own interests, selfish, we become distressed and feel abandoned and in the long run, we may suffer from depression because we are turned down by our loved ones that they would help us at our point in need.
Trusting in the Lord does not mean that we should not have friends and trusting them. God created us to have relationships with other human beings and love them too. We can not love them if we do not relate with them. We are social beings and we require others beside us in our lives however, we should be cautious of the self-centered nature of man.
Many people miss the point that once we trust in God, we shall no be put to shame. When we place our trust in the Lord, He will never disappoint us. He is aware of what we go through and our well being comes first. He is a generous God and His mercies endure forever. It comes to our minds that we should trust in God when over and over again we are rejected by others but He does not reject us.
