Battle, Christianity

‘‘Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.’’ (Ephesians. 6:11, NKJV).

As we live everyday of our lives, we need to eat. This is so that our physical beings may be strong and survive. It is unheard of for that the physical being to skip meals since it leads to negative effects such as the body being weak and also sick at times.

On the other hand, there is our spiritual being; for survival, we need ‘meals’. For some people, skipping a spiritual meal for a day or a week seems fine. Skipping meals leads us to the spiritual enemy zone which makes the enemy happy. The enemy is happy because he has interfered with the relationship that we have with God. He works day and night to ways of distracting us from worshiping God.

Daily we are at the verge of war with the enemy. In this war, there is a need to be strong in the relationship that we have with God, this makes the enemy unhappy.

So how do we prepare for the battlefield? How do we strengthen our relationship with God?

Before going out to face the enemy at war, soldiers prepare heavily to defeat the enemy and they come out of the battle victoriously. To defeat the enemy we need to be ready to fight that our spiritually beings standout at the war. We need to be fully equipped by taking time to read God’s handbook of life; The Bible. Through reading the Word, God speaks to us, gives us the strength that we need to break through the trials that we face. By reading His Word, we are filled the truth and there is no space for the enemy to fill us with his lies and corrupt our souls and minds. This way we are set free from the enemy’s territory and we are a threat to the enemy.

It feels so good to be with the Lord and defeating the enemy. 🙂
