The Thriving River

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.” (Psalm 1:2-3, NKJV)

A tree cannot thrive in the absence of water, however, where there is water; it will survive.
As Christians, follower of Christ, we need Christ for our souls to thrive spiritually.  Just like a tree planted along the river banks, you are tree. If you are a tree, question is where are you planted? Are you planted in the right place?
These are questions we need to answer. You are a tree of righteousness and in this case, you need to be planted in the right river source. River of great strength, the river that never dries. River that meadows in the right places and in the right direction;the powerful river. This river is the word of God. It is within God’s word that growth needs are catered for because you shall never lack. The word of God is so powerful, it is capable of planting and thriving all that are rooted to His Word. Do not underestimate God’s word, it will sustain and and feed you to the end of time.
From the  Scripture, it us evident that when you are planted in God’s word, you shall prosper and bear fruit in all seasons. This is a calling to all of us  to be rooted in GOD’S word, the river and we shall be fruitful. Being planted in God’s word is when we read God’s word, doing what it says, reflect or  meditate on it day and night and keep it in our heart.

Thought:  Plant yourself today by the river of God’s word and you will lack no more. This river flows with guidance, strength and might and comfort in all situations.

Be blessed.
