It is that time of the year when we have festivities. not too long ago it was Christmas and now we are celebrating Easter, how time flies so fast, soon it will be Christmas. it is ideal that families are preparing to travel and make merry on this season, priests and pastors preparing for sermons to give to the faithful during this season and merchants strategizing to make a kill out of the festivities too.
What message is within the Easter season?
Traditionally, Easter has been deemed as the night that the Lord was betrayed with a kiss and handed into the hands of the sinners. This is an emotional moment for many and me too.
Mark 9:31 says”For he was teaching his disciples, saying to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And when he is killed, after three days he will rise.”
In the world there are people who believe in Jesus that those that do not. For those that do not, it is just like another day to relax since there will be going to work or going to school. For Christians, this is a great day.
One thing is that Jesus Died for us, that is everyone ; those that believe in Jesus and those that do not. He did for everyone out of love. The love that he has shown us, it is our calling to love others around us. As you are around your loved ones enjoying the festivities, do remember other people who do not the chance to be loved. Just like Jesus loved you at the cross, take time and show the love that Christ has showered on you.
May you all have a Blessed Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday.
