But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:4–6 NKJV).
We shall be celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus in a few days. Yes, he raised and defeated death that we be saved. After Jesus is raises from the dead he ascends into heaven and seated at the right of the Father. At the Father’s right hand, he rests. In addition to being at the right hand, He is in heaven, a place of peaceful and joyful rest. Heaven is associated with peace and love and unending happiness. In heaven there is no suffering, jealousy or greed, everyone is happy and satisfied.
Heaven is very different from earth. Don’t we yearn to be in heaven on the Father’s right hand? In the Father there is rest. You may ask; how do we rest while on earth with all the chaos? In the midst of all the chaos, it is possible to rest. Our rest is in God, wait patiently upon him and he shall grant you rest. Wait on him expectantly do that which you cannot in your humanly nature. Our ego may step in and we think we need to be on the move doing something to contribute to the bigger picture. My dear, there are things that are not for us to do but HE. Do not be frustrate, impatient worrying or fearful in waiting on God and in the rest but let God work in HIS own ways and you shall see His mighty works. The holy rest from the Father brings peace and you need not disturb that peace; you got to enjoy it.
Always remember that rest is important and let us pray that Abba Father teaches us to be patient and rest in His providence of rest.
